Sierra Flower Farm is a family owned and operated business.  The "farm" isn't the typical farm of rolling acres, but rather, we're a tiny urban farm.  Our gardens are small but our passion is big! We love to get our hands dirty and sweat on our brows.  We are involved in the flowers from sowing the seed to getting the end product in your hands.  We only have about 2,500 square feet of growing space but we space intensely and succession plant.  We dream of more land but for now we are eager for the challenge of growing a high yield of quality flowers in our small space.

“Flowers are the gift to us from nature, our gift to nature is our love,” Debasish Mridha.  We don’t take nature’s gift for granted!  That is why we are conscious of our impact on the environment and the ecosystem within our gardens and beyond.  We are committed to only using sustainable growing practices.  By that, we mean, we are committed to adding to the earth’s health, not depleting it.  Before our flowers become bouquets and centerpieces for you, they are food sources and homes to the bees and other beneficial insects.  This approach is more unpredictable but much more rewarding; the blooms are more fragrant, long lasting, and simply beautiful.

Sierra Flower Design

We sow the seeds, grow and pamper the plant babies, harvest, and then we like to play with the flowers!  We are farmers and florists all wrapped into one. We extend the same philosophies that we have for our growing practices to the arrangement of the flowers.  We are not looking to control the flowers, but rather, enhance them and allow the flowers to share their story in a free flowing, organic manner.  The blooms are the true storytellers. We are here simply to highlight their natural beauty.

We are now booking weddings for the 2018 season.  Fill out our Wedding Inquiry Form to get started!

Jessica Chase, Owner and Farmer-Florist of Sierra Flower Farm

Greetings!  I am Jessica, the owner and crazy flower lover behind Sierra Flower Farm.  I am a wife, a mother to two little girls, and probably drink too much coffee for my own good!  We live in the quaint Carson Valley, NV and wouldn't have it any other way. There is nothing like planting in the garden with Job's Peak hovering above! I love creating and sharing my passion with others, especially when it comes to flowers.  This journey of flower farming became a passion and then a reality after growing my first vegetable garden... and then falling into an obsession with the flowers (sorry vegetables).   Flowers weather storms and reward us with their beauty.   Some sweet peas in one of my Grandmother's vases, have the ability to make a rough day into something special and a special day into a magical one.  I want to give that same beauty and magic to you, through my growing and arranging of flowers.

I'm excited you are visiting my website and hope I will be handing some wonderful flowers to you soon.

eddy Street Vintage market

We treasure being vendors at Gardnerville's favorite pop-up shop.  We'll be there the third weekend of every month.  Each month is a different theme and a unique experience.  To put it extremely simple (because there just isn't a good way to describe this gem!) it is amazing and needs to be on your monthly to-do list!

Merry & Bright Sale

 Friday, December 15th - December 17th 2017

Don't miss out on the last Eddy Street Pop-up for the year 2017!

3rd & Curry Street Farmer's Market

We are over-the-moon that Sierra Flower Farm was asked to be part of the #1 Farmer's Market in all of Nevada!  No wonder the 3rd & Curry Street Farmer's Market has been voted top market.  Even the port-a-potties are adorned with beautiful flowers!  Linda Marrone is the one who keeps this market in tip-top shape.

The market is open June-September on Saturday mornings 8:30am-1pm
